A client collected (handheld?) some points that they want shown on a drawing of a project we are working on for them. They emailed 2 files over just a little while ago but I have never seen these file types (*.cor and *.dbf). Has anyone worked with these file types? What do I do with them? Should I ask the client to just send me a text file of the points they collected? It is nothing that has to be very accurate, just some location shots of a power line.
.dbf is the old dbase filetype - you shiuld be able to open that with excel or access
don't klnow about .cor - name suggests coordinates. It may be just text, you could try using notepad
I expect dbf is a database file.
A quick net search indicates cor can be a form of gps tracklog data.
If you want to shoot me an email (I think it is active in profile), I can try to open in Global Mapper and export as dxf. Not sure if that is one of the many compatible file types.

That's it. Thanks.

The Trimble Pathfinder program uses the .cor extension for differentially corrected files. If you think it is a Pathfinder file send it to me and I'll try to open it. You will need to send it tonight or early tomorrow morning because I will be leaving to go to the PLSO convention and won't be back until Saturday morning. My email is in my profile.

It was a Trimble ProXRS handheld. Thanks for the offer, but I have it under control now.
