On one of my 2500s one of the rear door screws acts as if it is striped, most likely the brass set let go in the plastic holding.

It wont charge, and blinks a red door ajar light even when turned off, which drains the battery more. I can hold it together with a rubber C clamp to trick it into charging. But that is a pain.

Repair tech said they would have to break the battery door the replace the back of the 2500 along with a new battery door. Total cost about $600 to $750.

Ouch.....

Anyone else every had this issue?

Hey Buddy! Keep these posting clean here.

Just kidding. I use the Seco Claw to mount the 2500 to the Rod and you can pretty much keep it on all the time with the quick release. The way the claw grips from front to back, I am thinking this should provide enough pressure to keep the door shut without a costly repair.

Hope it works. Either way the claw is awesome. We do a lot of sewage plant work and I wouldn't take a shot over a million gallons of poop without it.

I use the same holder. The issue here is that there is a connection sensor in the bottom of the screw hole. To charge I have to place a small wooded tip on the end of the C clamp to reach the screw to hold it down, not just the battery door.
