LSAW conference wrapped up last week. FEMA Region 10 put on a solid presentation on Elevation Forms and a specific session on the new certificate. They are unhappy with the layout of the new form and we will be seeing a revision that puts the surveyors stamp back on the front page. As when this will be available was unknown. Seems the IRS was contracted to produce the form?
We have been asked to provide a Elevation Certificate on a very large building. While I know of nothing special other than the size, one cert fits all is my assumption. This building is more that 500-ft in length.

I've done a few large buildings....a food additive factory, a CVS drugstore, and several large apartment buildings some with parking garages underneath and elevators, etc. The same basic foundation sketches usually work. You just might have to get a little heavy on the comment section.
That could be interesting if one end is in an AE zone and the other is in an unnumbered A zone based on two different drainage courses.
This reminded me of a long warehouse building that was partly inside city limits and partly in the county. The total mill levy was quite different between the two designations. The appraiser's office had to decide how to handle this fairly.
I always pick the worse zone of part of the building is in. Then in the comments I'll say a portion of the building is located wiring XXXX zone with BFE XXX.
I have done a huge building (800x200 I think) and we just took a lot of shots and a lot of photos. It took half a day to get our measurements and the rest of the day to go through all the data and get it all on the form. Definitely an extra sheet for comments and extra sheets for photos.
