Where I might be able to procure at least one tie clip (bar or pin, either way) with a surveyor's theme? I've done a quick search and the closest I got was one with a micrometer that the seller was claiming was a survey instrument (maybe those super measurers use one to find the mysterious 0.04 feet, but, to my recollection I've never even seen one on a survey office.)

I thought the old POB marketplace may have had such things, but...well, you know.

If all else fails, I do have a plain old tie bar and still have a lapel pin from Alaska DOT&PF that would work (even though I don't work there anymore).

Tie clip? Oh, "tie" as in that archaic piece of clothing that I only see on politicians and grooms at weddings, and not even at funerals any more?

I have a miniature slide rule tie clip, but haven't worn it in decades. Last time I wore a tie was quite a few years ago as a pallbearer.

This link is messy, so just Google tie clip slide rule

Don't let the reference yo architects dissuade you. The 5:1 isn't a common architect scale, is it?

Thanks Bill I'll take a look.

I have no desire to be a politician, but I am one of those rare persons that still wears a suit and tie to weddings and funerals, I feel as though I'm disrespecting those involved if I don't. I still will at least wear a tie to a job interview, I've been on the interviewer end a few times and a lot of the applicants looked like they didn't even try to be presentable.

It would work for 50 scale. The other pictures show different variations of the theme too?ÿ

I'd like their Surveyor at Work tie if it didn't give me a backache to look at it.

@bill93?ÿ

Zazzle did come up on my search, but the one I saw didn't reference Benjamin Banneker by name, it just said Black American Inventor.?ÿ

I've gotten some fairly neat items off the ETSY site Bill suggested.?ÿ Some compass rose cuff links a while back.?ÿ You just have to be careful as not all of the custom made artisan items are any more artisan than a Subway sandwich shop's sandwich artists.
