Working on a topo. Did all the contouring and everything including dozens of breaklines.

Then I translated all of the values to a benchmark. Re-contour won't work. I've updated the drawing from the crd, I've assigned 0 to all points that don't matter.

I can't get the stupid breaklines to recognize their new values. Is there a fix for this or am I going to have to re-draw every stinking breakline?

TIA,

Thanks but

the drawing is fine. The problem is the elevations associated with the 3d polyline breaklines. I know what the problem is, just not how to fix it other than re-draw it.

You can use the "offset 3d polylines" to raise or lower your breaklines. Just enter 0 for horizontal offset.

Kris,

Next time you use the "Translate" routine to raise or lower your point elevations, there is a checkbox called "Translate Entities" that should be checked. Once executed, it will ask you to pick which entities you want to raise or lower with the points. You can then pick your breaklines. I always turn all layers off except for the points and breaklines so that they're easier to select.

You can also go to the "Edit" pull down, then CHANGE>ELEVATIONS, and you can do an absolute or differential change for any entity.
