This maybe should be under education, but it's worth posting so all can see. Sorry for maybe the wrong category Wendell - please don't send me to time out as my motives are pure.

At any rate, the other day (I think it was) Moe who noted he was going to an Astro Azimuth workshop and I have decided to go myself. Probably will take along my T-3, an ancient T-2, and my Lietz Theodolite I bought in 1976. Been playing around with them to get them in adjustment - levels, collimation, etc. While I've always known what to do and how to do, I've just always been lazy and sent them to a shop. But since these are no longer production instruments I'm trying it myself. Fun and interesting and maybe even a little frustrating. How many of you still adjust your instruments? Or do you send them out? Or for that matter, do you even know what to do?

At any rate the workshop is put on by NGS at their facility at Corbin, VA. They do a great job and their courses are free. Here's a link to their schedule:

So, at any rate if you need some con-ed hours this is a great resource and the price is right - free - especially if you don't have to travel far. Still need to worry about lodging & meals, but it's still a great opportunity.

Y'all come
