I've received a list of my attendees and their affiliations. The breakdown is:
6 - City and/or county employees
1 - Federal Agency
7 - Private utility and/or oil transportation
4 - Members of Native Nations
7 - State Agencies
A good cross section of all the folks that probably use/maintain GIS metadata. I'm ready for them.
As 72 percent (+/- 0.5%) are Gubmit types you can plan on most of them attempting to sleep through whatever it is you present. Old habits are hard to break.

Wait, half of them are private utility or native Americans. That means that the non-government types will either need to know how to read legal descriptions so they can figure out where they can dig up the survey monuments, or they will stay drunk through the seminar (as long as we're stereotyping).
