Got my new TDC600 last week. My understanding is that it will work on either Verizon or "the others" (AT&T, T-Mobile, etc). I have verizon for one modem and all of my phones and hotspots. I have AT&T for another modem and for my R-10's (which do not work on Verizon). I also have an extra phone mainly used for travel which has a google Fi sim card. Google uses T-Mobile, Sprint, and US Cellular.?ÿ
The only nano size active sim I have to test is the Google Fi. And it seems like the best option, since you only pay for data that you use, at a rate of $10/GB. They charge $20/month for unlimited voice, but also have a data only sim card that has no monthly fee (I believe)
I put the Google Fi sim card in, and the TDC600 does not even recognize that there is a sim card inserted. I tried both SIM1 and SIM2 slots. I tried two different Fi sim cards (one is inactive).
I have an old AT&T sim card (data only?) that is not active, I put it in, and it is recognized. Since it is not active I cannot test it to see how it connects.?ÿ
Has anyone tried a Google Fi sim card on a TDC600? Any reason why it would not even be recognized as present? I did put the Google Fi back in the phone it was in, and it works fine.?ÿ
I also tried the AT&T card in the Google phone (Moto G7), and it was recognized.?ÿ
Hmmm, we were just using it with the MiFi box and didn't try internal
Maybe a moot question now, but I would like to know...
I found an AT&T prepaid deal which is $25/month if you prepay the year, 8 GB per month, unlimited talk. More than enough since it is not my primary phone.?ÿ

I did have two unused sim cards from Guyana, but I just recently threw them away while cleaning out my desk. When I was in Guyana I had a lot of trouble getting my AT&T sim cards in my two R10's to work (they would connect but not register), so I bought the two sim cards but never used them. Finally got the AT&T cards working after about 30 minutes on the phone with AT&T. That was $10/day for each card, but they worked flawlessly (one in the base and one in the rover, both had static IP's)
