As a long time user of "Sight Survey" and a technophobe to boot I run into problems all the time. Usually I can find the answer in the manuals. Today I'm lost. So here I am at the place where all things survey are solved!
I saved a drawing (7,000' of a 100' wide street topo through a business district), but now when I go back to extract portions of it (to wit: the 19 intersections for drawing Corner Records for the new ties) I am unable to "break lines" or "zoom all". I discovered that the drawing is saved using "polylines". Is there any way to get me back to my original, plain ol' lines and arcs?
I have no idea how it got saved this way. It's been over a year ago.
I collected the data using Carlson SurvCE on the Jett machine, but that's only point data. I had to connect the dots.
Any body got any ideas?
If you explode your polylines, do they become regular lines and arcs like ACAD does (an acad polyline is a series of lines and arcs associated together with snaps at the start, middle and end of each)?
That's it!
Thank you very much. I doubt I would ever have figured that out from the manuals.
That's it!
