Regarding Microsurvey Starnet software

I have taken field data for starnet calculation by Leica TS 16 model. When I have calculated in 2D adjustment that time error showing in resudual more and?ÿ distance error factor is 5.23 but when same data run 3d adjustment that time we getting distance error factor less 0.5

3d adjustment result check at site?ÿ this is come within 1mm loop wise in co-ordinate & elevation 3mm max.

Can explain the problem?

Without looking at the data, my guess is that the raw data file included slope distances rather than horizontal distances.

Raw data, in StarNet's format. ie/ the .dat file you are having trouble with.

There are a number of possible approaches. Let's see if that is your actual problem, first.

Add .the ".3r" inline command at the beginning of the data file to have it treated as 2d data.?ÿ

BTW - very interesting numbering system for your points, but it would not translate to Civil3d.?ÿ

*EDIT* -Played with the input precision settings a little to get them more in keeping with a TS16 1 second instrument's spec sheet. Your distances are just slightly off specifications, but not badly so. The issue is more likely with your centering errors.

It exceeds the lower bounds. Which merely means that the data is better than expected given the the error estimate settings.?ÿ In this case the range between the upper and lower bound is very narrow, which means that you have to fuss with the error settings quite a lot to get it to "pass". But the coordinate results don't change significantly.?ÿ?ÿ

@norman-oklahoma Why same data when pass 2d adjustment that time instrument settings & 3d adjustment time instrument settings is quite different? But both cases coordinate is same i think I can use this coordinate.

Because statistics, I guess.?ÿ Don't get too hung up with the statistics. Review the residuals, review the resulting coordinates.?ÿ?ÿ
