So I have the good old DraftmasterRX model 7596B pen plotter. Now,is this of any use to anyone. I would give it away just to recycle it if someone still uses this type of thing.
Try your local community college or High school. They will appreciate it and you can write it off of your taxes.B-)

That is exactly what I did. (Fifteen years ago).
Before I did that I offered it to a fellow PLS here. He was still drawing his plats by hand. Was prepared to make him a good deal. He informed me that he could draw his maps faster and better than I could with my computer and plotter. I didn't argue with him. (And no, his maps were never better or faster than mine. Ever.)

If you end up just scuttling it, I would like to have the on/off switch. I have a 7575B that the power switch locked up and won't work anymore.
Yes I would be glad to do that. Actually I was hoping for more of that. I don't mind parting it out to those who need it. It just drives my crazy to dump it into scrap metal or letting it rust outside in the bone pile. Do you have a roll feed or need any carosels or pens....etc.
If you can find the cutting tool adapter to use instead of a pen, it can be converted into cutting those vinyl signs.

I have a bunch of pens, but don't know if they are still good or not as it's been 5 or 6 years since I've been able to use the plotter due to the switch problem. I also have an ink pen carosel and a carosel for roller pens. I would like to see if it will still work in order to plot on a 36" sheet when I need a wider paper. I have a couple of 450C plotters, but they are only 24". I really don't need a roll feed for the pen plotter or at least not at this time. I would like to try to replace the switch first just to see if the unit will even fire up. I tried to find a switch when the problem first started, but everywhere that said they had one, when I placed an order they informed me that they no longer had one in stock. I'm pretty sure that the switches are the same according to my research for the part number.
