I cannot believe that they still have not included functionality to convert to/from ITRF/WGS84 (using the models and transformations in HTDP). Nor will it convert between orthometric and ellipsoidal heights. Both of these functions are in VDatum.?ÿ
I do like NCAT, bit I still have to use other software to do the above transformations. I use HTDP a lot, and it would be great if that was in NCAT.?ÿ?ÿ
what software do you use John, curious because I've been exposed to several and I'm always looking for new ones that are being used in the profession.

I use a LOT of different software, much of which I wrote myself. I do use quite a few of the NGS software programs, why re-invent the wheel. I write routines that will format the input files correctly depending on where it is going, HTDP, NCAT, GEOID18, etc. And I use databases (MS Access) to store all kinds of data, that makes working with the data so much easier
As for commercial packages...I use TBC and Trimble Access, Carlson, Star*Net and Geolab for adjustments, Global Mapper. All of those are indispensable. Other software I use: Total commander for file manager, UltraEdit, and a number of others.?ÿ

I concur on the GlobalMapper. when I was working with an imaging company, we had that, and probably everything else under the sun. millions of dollars of licenses as I was talking to the Geomanager one day and saw the 50 or more HASP thumb drives on the table in his office.
Geosoft, TBC, ESRI, and even C3D Mapping for me.
all just depends on the deliverables I suppose. And budgets.
