Greetings.?ÿ

Will Carlson do lot summaries (map checks, closure reports, or what ever you may call them) on lots with line and arc segments? Civil3d was able to do them.?ÿ

This would be as part of a written report as a cogo computation around a lot to varify line and arc labels on the drawing, provide and area calculation and a closure precision of the lot.?ÿ

I found the ƒ??textdeedƒ? function which brings up what Carlson calls Map Check. This should be exactly what Iƒ??m looking for, and it works as expected for lots (polylines) if the lot is line segments only. Lots (polylines) with arcs, like along a ROW, it canƒ??t handle it.?ÿ

Is there a way a can get a cogo call around a lot (presumably a polylines) with bearing and distances calls along the lines then arc I do around the arcs till it closes, and area calculation and a misclosure?

Inverse with Area under the Area/Layout will do what you want.?ÿ I run the boundary by the calls on my survey, polyline the pieces, then run Inverse by Area.

Oh, and thanks for bearing with my oddly structured initial posting. Sometimes a quick phone posting goes out without a proof read.?ÿ

An inverse is not what I think you are aiming for. That will not check the plat information and will yield a closure and area that are not based on the information (rounded numbers) as platted.

We have to submit lot closure reports for plats to the the reviewing agency and an inverse generated report will be rejected.?ÿ

I don't use Carlson but it would amaze me that it doesn't have a map check program.?ÿ

Carlson can do that.?ÿ You first create the lot by,

Area/Layout/Create Lots/Polyline to Lot File, (or by the other options)

Then you can get the inverse by,

Area/Layout/Lot File Manager

Your created lots will appear there, and you can choose the lot and click on Report.

You Guys Rock!

followed the suggestions and got exactly what I wanted by first turning my lot polylines into "Lot" and .lot file. from there clicked on Lot Manager, check all the newly created Lot boxes, then Report button and Presto!

Thanks!
