I have a project that the client wants points in Lat and Long (DDMMSS.SS), I have been trying to make an output format, but I can not get it to recognize the data for the Lat and Long. When I list the points in the project they are listed but do not export with any format that I have come up with. I have over 200 points in this project and would prefer not to have to create the .txt file by hand.

TIA

You can list the points and have it include latitude and longitude formats. It's been a while since I used LDD, but I know you can add more columns to the list points function in one of the drawing setup menus. Once you can view them, you can copy or print the list to a file.

I don't remember that being an export function, but I was always able to list the points in the format. Typically I would hide the northing and easting columns, and print it to the file. I seem to remember it saving it as tab delimited. Make sure you set your SPC zone before you export it.

Thanks, that worked. I had to do a work around by exporting state plane coordinates and using the batch file in corpscon to convert to Lat and Long, a lot of work, but it worked, a lot easier your way.

Does your version of LDD have an export manager?

I run LDD2004.
Check your Points import/export manager, create a new format (whatever you you want to name it) and check the output boxes for Lat Long.
Your may be dependent on the Transformation Zone parameters.

Does your version of LDD have an export manager?

It does and every combination of LAT and Long that I tried it would not recognize the Lat and Long. I had the zone correct because when I listed the points, the Lat and Long was also listed.
