@jon-payne monospace. A good friend uses that in some places. ?ÿHe uses Corsiva for calling out old fences and odds and ends that he finds on old plats he follows. But keeps the others arial. Now it might be monospace corsiva he was telling me while i was doing some cattle handling so i still need to go back and check for sure. ?ÿ Thank you. Like all the ideas and the reasons helps me make better decisions as i try and get my drafting down. ?ÿSeems there needs to be a new degree program just on fonts lol. I been reading on the almighty internet as well. Just trying to educate myself as much as possible.

A book I highly recommend is Typography for Lawyers by Mathew Butterick:

https://www.amazon.com/Typography-Lawyers-2nd-Matthew-Butterick/dp/159839262X/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=typography+for+lawyers+butterick&sprefix=tupography+for+lawy%2Caps%2C113&sr=8-1

He has a free website version of much of the book here:

https://practicaltypography.com/

It has vastly improved the look of my correspondence mostly, but I have used some of his principles on my plans also.

@gromaticus i will check this out for sure. Thank you. Always good to step out of the box and learn things that relate from an perspective not directly in your line of work. Lawyers are but i bet it gives a well rounded look and thought process as you approach your documents and plats.
