I am trying to find a stippled (dotted?) font in Carlson. I believe a dashed-type font would also work. I've been trying to find one but the font library is pretty large. When I "google it" all I see is?ÿ a bunch of free fonts on-line which I guess would work, but then I would have to figure out how to import the font into Carlson. Thanks for any Help?ÿ

See if you have dotfont.shx and if not I believe it's a free download online.

It works for me.

If you're looking for where the font files are stored, issue the "Options" command and under the "files" tab and "support file search path" sub folder you'll hopefully see a font folder and that's where they should go.

Peter,?ÿ

Thank you. I do not have "dot font" but I found one that looks good called "dotty." It is a .ttf file and I found where the fonts are pathed to and stored it there. However, I still don't know how make it available in my mtext box in Carlson. I tried shutting down and restarting and I tried changing the file extension to a .shx and .ttc (I have both of these type in my font folder). Any ideas? Thanks, again.

Make a text style with that font and set as current.

Other option would be to invoke mtext then scroll through the list until you find it.

I'm assuming ?ÿthat's the same as MsCad, also Bricscad behavior.

Not sure what happens if you open Word create your text in that font and copy & paste into the open mtext box??ÿ

Thanks to both of you for your help. I was able to find a font that looked good and thanks to Peter I was able to find where the fonts were stored for Carlson. However, after putting the font in the correct file location I still wasn't seeing it in the mtext box in Carlson.?ÿ

Since I hadn't downloaded fonts before I missed an important step. Once you have the file in the right location you need to left click on the file itself, as if to open it, and then you will see a box that says "install" click on that box and your done and the the font will be recognized in Carlson.
