The more advanced versions of ESRI's ArcMap desktop allows some of the coordinate geometry features one might expect in a CAD system intended for surveyors, for example, drawing a line segment by selecting a starting point and then specifying the direction and distance to the next point. You can even set it up to recognize N as 0å¡ rather than 90å¡ (which is the usual convention in math and physics).
Does anyone know if the relatively new ArcGIS Pro has the same features?
ArcMap desktop is kind of nice for a person like me, who wants to use it for things like hunting, home improvement, and volunteer work (as a justice of the peace, the other justices and I hear appeals of property tax assessments). A personal use version is $100 per year.
