So I open Corpsecon to convert some SPCs in NAD83 to NAD27 and get an error message:
"Cannot open area list file (-27)."
I've uninstalled Corpscon. I've run CCCleaner and searched the registry for any hangers-on. I've downloaded the newest version I could find, 6.0.1, from the USACE website - "corpscon_complete.exe".
When I install the program and open it, it's deja vu all over again, or maybe groundhog day, because the setup dialog box has the same input/output parameters as I spec'd originally, the manual conversion dialog box remembers my "Office:" name and the "Project:" name, and I get the same G-D error message.
Obviously there's something in the woodpile I'm not getting rid of, but I can't figure out what it is.
After 4 tries, I understand Einstein's definition of nuts and so I need help. Please!
Thanks,
SS
I had precisely that same issue yesterday. I uninstalled as you did, downloaded a new install file (the complete version), installed it and got a Trojan detected message from my anti-virus (AVG free). Uninstalled again, downloaded the CONUS only file, installed and got an error message when trying to launch. Uninstalled again, restated the computer, opened the CORPSCON folder in Program Files and deleted all the data files in there that the uninstall left behind. Installed the CONUS only again and poof it worked.
Not sure that will help you, the moral of my story seems to be keep trying, who knows what is going. on.
Did all that. Several times. No joy. But I appreciate your response, anyway.
Thanks,
SS
I just loaded my version of Corpscon 6.0.1 and it seems to be working fine. I will try some conversions later but it allowed my to change the setup and that type of thing.
