Hey Guys,

Here's my issue; I have recently started surveying with a concrete contractor. They own a Trimble SPS930 UTS and T100 controller. This combination is used for their machine control work, which limits our combination.

I have been using Trimble Siteworks for a few weeks, however coming from Leica Smartworx I find the software restrictive and not surveyor friendly. As an attempted work around I have loaded Carlson SurvPC to demo (have not used Carlson SurvCE since 2008) but I have been unable to find Trimble in the Total Station manufacturers list.

I have been Googling my problem - to no avail. Is this combination possible? Is there a reason Trimble is not appearing within Carlson's manufacturers list? Do I need to load the instrument from an external file? Am I missing something?

Please HELP!!!!

Thanks

From my experience with Trimble the robotics are limited to Siteworks, SCS900, Trimble Access or TDS Survey Pro, however I have been able to use Carlson SurvCE with Trimble GPS Recievers.

Carson has its own Machine Control Software instead of SurvPC.?ÿ

Trimble doesn't play with Carlson.?ÿ You can buy Spectra Precision robots (trimble lite) that work with Carlson, but the Flagship Trimble robots don't work. Trimble won't share info for Carlson to create drivers.

It's usually pretty current.

Yes, it will run on a Trimble data collector, but will not drive the equipment.?ÿ The list only shows the collectors and that's only because they run windows.

@va-ls-2867?ÿ

Correct, at default it only shows Data Collectors.?ÿ However, that is a drop-down list.?ÿ Once you click the downward arrow you have three options:

1. Data Collector

2. GNSS Receiver

3. Total Station.

?ÿ

Selecting Total Station and clicking through the pages you will find:

(X = not supported, ƒ?? = supported, and the list goes from version 6 to version 3 as you
move right on the webage or downward in this code list)
Trimble

With that being said, I use a Spectra Precision Focus 10 or Trimble 5603 robotic with a geocomm radio with SurvCE 5 regularly.?ÿ Not officially supported and it runs a bit wonky, but it works.

?ÿ

Anything newer than that from Trimble receives no mention as there is no official support.
