I am trying to get the Carlson Surveyor to allow Bluetooth FTP access. I found a link on the Carlson knowledge base for a program to install "Bluetooth Explorer" on the data collector I installed this but it doesnt seem to work. It won't give me an FTP option. Does anyone know a Windows Mobile 6.1 program that works on these collectors?

My long game is to be able to have my crews connect their phones to the collector to send and download coordinate files. If I am barking up the wrong tree I would love some direction.

What version of Carlson are you using? They have the 'Carlson Cloud' subscription cloud service, that allows the crews to up/down load via wi-fi.

We email points back and forth using .csv files or sometimes .crd files. The data collector connects to the Web using the Wi-Fi connection that we have for getting network RTK solutions.

I am running 2.62 SurvCE on my collectors. The Carlson data collectors that I have do not have wifi on them just bluetooth so I am limited to that route.

Most phones and data collectors with Bluetooth have file transfer capability between them. I run as a solo and wrote a dummy sheet so if a file is needed on the home computer, I could remote control to the home computer on my cell phone and transfer a file using a free cloud service like Microsoft live.com or Google.

Field Transfer Files from Home Computer to Android Phone to Recon Data Collector or Clients Email.
* Phone Setting App
o Turn Bluetooth On
o View that Phone and Recon Data Collector are paired.
* Open ‰ÛÏRemote Desktop‰Û App on phone to Home Office Computer.

* Open IE11 internet explorer from Remote Desktop of home computer.
o Site = google.com/ drive
* Will be home page and FireFox ‰ÛÒ Google.com
* Upper right Apps
* Drive App
o Upper Left red ‰ÛÏNEW‰Û button
o Upload the browse to the desired files to be downloaded or emailed
* Repeat until files are all placed in My Drive folder.
* Recon select lower right Blue Tooth Symbol of Socket Bluetooth
o Transfer via Blue tooth
* Receive Contacts or File
o Will have 2 minutes to transfer file on phone.
* Phone Office App
o Open DRIVE app
o Open My Drive Folder
o Hold Down highlighted file or Hit Lower Right ‰ÛÏ. . .‰Û
* Send File
o Bluetooth for Recon file transfer or
* Hotmail to send to an email address as a attachment
* Recon ‰ÛÒ File Explorer
o Browse to My Device/My Documents/Bluetooth Share
o Hold Down and Clipboard copy file.
o Paste file to My Device/Built In Storage/Survey Pro Jobs
o Download TXT in TDS as normal.

Remote control to office computer would not be needed if you have office personal to place the file to a cloud drive.

I use the wire to connect my phone to my tablet, then I can send files back and forth thru e-mail.

If you can get an Internet connection of any sort, we have used email and Carlson Cloud. If you have wifi, that is easiest, but we used to use Bluetooth to obtain an Internet connection, but it isn't as easy to explain.
