Everybody knows I'm a C3D guy, but I do remember from my short time working with Carlson that they had many field files included in their software. For example, they had one for INDOT (Indiana), that had all the INDOT field codes defined. I didn't discover this until after I had created my own field file (using INDOT codes), so I can't say if they also incorporated INDOT layers and symbols, but still would have made a nice starting point. There were other DOTs included.
As to the OP, I guess I'm naive, but I've not known anyone who loaded up on standards on their way out the door. Your situation is different, starting your own company, otherwise going to a new firm (who probably have their own) with your templates reminds me of the cartoon where a cad guy is bragging about his own set of standards that he has. I've set up CAD and survey procedures for multiple companies over the years but I've never taken any with me. I got paid for the work. It belongs to the company.?ÿ
