As a new user to Carlson, migrating from LDD3, I am running into an issue with the point symbol and the block reference not coming in at the same size. I am getting two entities, one is a point, the other is a symbol. I'm not completely clueless, I have checked the scalar etc., but all seems in order. I am sure I am missing something obvious, any help would be appreciated.

The way I've found to get around that is to assign points the symbol SPT0 (SPTzero), which is blank, and then resizing the DDPTYPE up to the desired size and symbol type. You could also do the exact opposite, set DDPTYPE to a blank symbol & then draw the points in as desired if you use multiple point symbols. This eliminates a separate node & symbol. Carlson is puzzling in how it handles points sometimes...

I set my DDPTYPE to "none", then pick my point symbol for Carlson to use. This works for me.

I like to set SPT0 and DDPTYPE x with something. I always want my symbols separate and I run with it.
Also, if you want to italicize the PTXT font, you need to do it in the point block under support or wherever it hides.
Do you have your FLD2FIN codes setup. Those are wonderful and make up for the cumbersome point management.

Thanks for the help, I am working on getting F2F all set up but there is some resistance from the drafters. Good guys, just used to a different way of doing things.

Just get in the mindset that the .crd file is the master coordinate file not the drawing.

Other people can work on your drawings, but can't touch your coordinates because they are sitting in your .crd file.
