Are Spectra Precision Rangers and Trimble TSC3 units interchangeable??

Hi-

Am looking for a new data collector and the Spectra Precision Ranger looks exactly like the TSC3 but is much cheaper. I understand the software is different but was wondering if anyone knows if the Spectra data collectors will work with Trimble total stations (S3) or vice versa.

Yes, the Ranger 3 will work with a Trimble S3. A TSC3 running Trimble Access only works with Trimble equipment, a Ranger 3 running Survey Pro works with most other brands as well.
