This is a new one for me: I wanted to get the email address of a CSRC Executive Committee member, so I went to the ExCom page and did a standard Windows select|copy|paste on the desired address. However, when I pasted the address into an email message, it came out backward. I tried a couple of others, same thing. I assume this is to limit the spam potential for robot address harvesters.
I could have manually reversed the address, but a quick search turned up the Reverse Text Generator, which did the job for me.

Jim, when I copy your post above, it all comes out reversed. I wonder if you may have inadvertently remapped your keyboard in all this cutting and pasting. I'll bet if you just turn the keyboard around 180 degrees you'll fix that problem (once you get used to typing on it, of course).

I always had to take a few extra moments to clear the mind before sitting down at the drafting desk in order to wrap my mind around applying reverse lettering onto paper sepia.
TG that purpose and reason faded away 30yrs ago...

My favorite anti-spam technique is 10 minute mail:
If you want to sign up for something online, it is a perfect email program. The address only lasts for 10 minutes, so you can get a confirmation email then click and be signed up.
The address is then destroyed, and you aren't annoyed with sales and spam in your real inbox.
If you need more then ten minutes, you can keep the window open and click "more time" as much as you want. Once i did it for an hour before i got the confirmation email. Worth it.
