Mike was my first party chief in 1985. Just saw him at conference in February. Sad to see him go. He covered Montana, Idaho and Washington well.

With a name like that, it makes me wonder what would have happened if he had been in the military and stationed at Camp LeJeune.

Customer

As I related to Kurt in an e-mail yesterday, Mike was one of my first customers when I was struggling to get my little surveying-equipment dealership off the ground back in the early 90s.

Mike lived up in the hills someplace where UPS and the U.S. Postal Service couldn't or wouldn't go, so he always had me send things c/o Lolo Hot Springs, a lodge/resort at the hot springs visited by the Lewis & Clark expedition in 1805.

Mike was a good customer, a good surveyor, and a great guy. Gone too soon.
