leaving now for the memorial service. really good buddy of mine who had an inconceivably tough hand to deal with the past decade. he didn't survey for long, i kept him employed for a good bit of last year, as much to keep some money in his pocket and give us both some companionship. he wasn't the best help either, but he showed up every morning and folllowed me around anywhere i set foot.
going on four years since we lost one of my mentors, who was also one of my better friends and taught me a whole bunch about this profession.
hug who you got- this doesn't ever get any easier.
have a good holiday weekend, y'all.
RIP Monty. I'll miss ya.

I am sorry for you loss. Good friends are hard to come by, and even harder to loose. May your friend rest in peace. And may you cherish in the memories of life you shared together.
