Mr. Moon died this past Wednesday at age 89. He held the oldest active surveying license in the State of Georgia, and was at the helm of his company for 65 years - in his office until declining health forced him out. Humanly speaking, I owe my career to him. From the first day I met him, years before I had the opportunity to work for him, I knew that I needed to pay attention to what he had to say. He taught me the art of surveying, the difference between being a "surveyor" and a "measurer". He was one of the finest men I ever had the privilege to know, a quiet giant in Columbus, Georgia, and his professional and personal contributions to his community will be felt for decades to come. Rest in Peace, Mr. Moon.
