“Network Error” - Using the P4RTK with Trimble R10 base

There’s a workflow for setting up a “NTrip Caster” through the R10 base’s WiFi, then pairing that with the P4RTK. I’ve used it a number of times, but only for certain situations (so it’s been awhile since I used it last) - suddenly it’s not working.

I think this is the workflow - it was put together by the awesome guys over at Frontier Precision:

I can make a connection with the R10’s WiFi with an iPad, and make sure all the settings are correct, but I just started having issues with the CJI software on the drone’s remote controller, which is saying something about a problematic network connection… “Network Error… Check your connection..” and no lat/long or elevation populates the fields for the “Custom Network’s” base station on the drone’s RC.

Oddly enough, I was recently able to connect with the R10 base mid-last-month and the lat/long/el fields populated (that’s actually how I discovered that I accidentally connected to the rover at first).. I ultimately wasn’t able to fly the mission, but I think an unrelated issue was at fault (we had terrain awareness involved with the mission and should have set the max elevation higher, since we took off at a low elevation… the terrain awareness required the drone to climb beyond the 400’ we had set in the RC).

We just did the R10 firmware update, we’ve tried the last two versions of the CJI software on the P4.. and power cycling the RC.. On my todo list is to open the web browser on the RC and open the R10’s WebUI on the RC to see if there any connection to the R10 whatsoever. Any ideas for others things to try?
