Do any of you guys have one of the major brands of CRTP software that can process some photographs for me? My guys were scanning a pumping station in New Orleans and the client revised the scope to scan some of the interiors. It was a room under the pumps and the vibration was too much for our Topcon Scanner. I had been reading about CRTP and told my crew chief to set out control that would be visible in the photos and shoot the heck out of it with 75 to 80% overlap in the photos. He used a semi professional camera- not sure of the MP but I think it was around 18 or so. Maybe it was a waste of time but if I can get them processed to be used in conjunction with the conventional shots he took maybe we can get the client what he needs.
Anybody interested? We could let you know the details and you could give us a price. alan-at-dalestockstill-dot-com.

We have AgiSoft and it would probably be the best for this. Are you looking for a point cloud as the final product? We would be more than willing to give it a go for you. You can contact me at matthew at franksurveying-dot-com

Great Matthew. I am in Orlando working and seeing a new Granddaughter. My guys back in Mississippi have the photos and control points. You will be hearing from Aaron or Chad. Thanks a lot.

And yes a point cloud. I was going to rent a Faro but would like to see if we can process the photos first.

I'll take a look if you want. I have a machine here that can spin away at it while I work.

Here's a couple of vids of my work.

My suspicion is that the photos won't match up. There may be overlap, but I suspect they were shot at different exposure levels, and possibly with flash. Still, I'm happy to have a look.

Your suspicions were correct. The guys at Frank Surveying looked at them for us us and it was a no-go. I will, however, check out the videos. I want to learn about this. Thanks

Sure, Monday I will get the photos and control file. I am bringing a Faro back with me and we will be scanning it next week. I would be interested to see what you come up with. I'll get back with you.
