Never have encountered metered ramps.

You have to realize that congested traffic is when I can see more than four vehicles at one time going the same direction I am.?ÿ For me that is usually about 130th Street in KC or just west of Andover entering Wichita.?ÿ Then I put on my foolish teenager hat and join the race to get there first.?ÿ Wherever "there" is.

I recall my Dad telling people asking for directions, "You can't get there from here."?ÿ Have a job presently that qualifies as one of those places you can't get to from here.?ÿ Yes, you can, but, as my Grandmother would say, you have to drive around Robin Hood's barn to get there.?ÿ That means what should be the most direct route simply does not exist.

Found this quickly online:?ÿ The phrase round Robin Hood's barn means?ÿby a circuitous or tortuous route, and, figuratively, in a lengthy or roundabout way

This really bugs me. I don't think there is any kind of driver's class available anymore. Just show em how to drive a car and get out of the way.

I hate it when:

Some bonehead has to pull out in front of me and I have to break. And the there isn't another car closer than 4 miles behind me. And they usually turn at the next available opportunity.

I get to the stop sign and some fool who got there before me is waiving me to go first, through tinted windows that you almost can't see through.

People using turn lanes as merge lanes.

Then you have the idiots that have to blow the yellow or even red lights to turn in front of me so that they don't have to wait another 60 seconds for the next green turn light. Where do they have to be so quickly?ÿ that they can't wait one more minute?

?ÿOr the boob that is driving right tight on my butt. We have deer all over the place here and If I have to break for one crossing the road, there ain't no way the boob ain't gonna avoid hitting me. Probably talking on the phone anyway.

?ÿ

I feel better now.

The last time another driver rear-ended me (very minor fortunately) was a case of driving on a side street in a city.?ÿ Suddenly, a ball rolled across the road.?ÿ I slowed down because I was certain a child would appear next.?ÿ As the child appeared, I hit my brakes to be sure to not hit him.?ÿ BAM!?ÿ The impact brought me much closer to the second child who magically appeared, chasing after the first one.

At the front of every traffic jam there's either an oblivious idiot (can't see the fifty cars behind them) or a sanctimonious jerk who feels like it's their right/responsibility to keep others from exceeding the speed limit.?ÿ

My philosophy on on-ramps is to be going 5-15 mph faster than the traffic I'm merging into when I get to the top of the ramp.?ÿ It's much easier to tap the brakes and merge in than it is to try to put on extra speed to hit the available holes.

@stephen-ward And then there are those that reach the speed limit (or better) on the ramp and then slam on brakes if there is ANY traffic in the right lane.?ÿ Merge when you can't see another car in the right lane.

@bill93?ÿ ?ÿ

Orange is the new black.

A $100 dollar bill is the new twenty.

And driving 5mph over the speed limit is the new minimum.?ÿ

I get to the stop sign and some fool who got there before me is waiving waving me to go first, through tinted windows that you almost can't see through.

Last time that happened to me, I pulled up to a 4-way stop at the same time a cop car coming from my right stopped at his sign.?ÿ I sat there waiting, and waiting. No way I was going to pull in front of a cop who had the right of way.?ÿ

Finally he turned left and pulled up beside me and asked, "Why didn't you go? Are you okay?" "Yes. We got here at the same time and you were on the right." "Didn't you see me wave you on?"?ÿ "No, I didn't because my mirror was in the way." Fortunately, he left without writing me a ticket for disobeying an officer.

Am I legally responsible to see what goes on in another car? I usually watch the car, not the driver.

a ticket for disobeying an officer.

if that is a legit offense we need to really sit down and figure out just wtf is going on in the world.

Esp if he's not sure of the ROW he had and you did nothing but wait for him to get out of the way ... ???œ ???ý ?????ÿ

@bill93 Then there are the clover leaf intersections which apparently 99.9% of the population have never learned to operate.
