This appears to be crazy but technically true. Hey, I learned this on Facebook, so it must be true.
Looks like that portion of Yellowstone is a very tiny part of Idaho Court District 7 - so I wouldn't plan on killing anyone there if you want to be home for Christmas.
There's an area where the NY, CT & MA borders meet called Boston Corners, not sure if it's still the case but at one time it was not a part of any of those states. It was the only place in at least those states, if not the entirety of America at the time, where bare knuckle fighting was legal.
"Take 'em to the train station"
Actually, Boston Corners was part of Massachusetts, and prize fighting was illegal, but because of the mountains to the east, enforcement of Massachusetts law was impossible.

Looked at the site in New York. Looks like they followed closely to a ridge line to move the state boundary. Anyone here work in that area? If so, can you explain why there is a gentle kink in the line running to the east between MA & CT?
Didn't do much work in CT, but it went around a town if I remember correctly. One story I heard was the survey crew got drunk and turned 90 instead of 180 and corrected themselves when they sobered up (we all know everything is the surveyors' fault, right, i.e., Fort Blunder, NY and the reason for the Gadsden Purchase of the Southern part of AZ).
