Just had a 200-year precipitation event. We had a 100-year event on Sunday, and probably a 50-year event with an incredible lightning storm on Monday night. We have been praying for rain for the last 10 years, but its too bad it all comes in a week or so... Fortunately, a $30 million dollar series of detention basins we designed several years ago to mitigate flooding from the aftermath of a forest fire worked perfectly.

I've seen the standard, run of the mill, Arizona summer thundershower. I refuse to believe that it can rain any harder than that.
