One of the more bizarre "No Trespassing" signs I have seen. In northern Nebraska.

I suspect if you were to research those legal references, you would find that they are in fact legitimate laws that are still in effect.

I know of several instances where government employees or agents of the government entered private land and took water/dirt samples and falsely accused the land owners of polluting.
I would bet they would post a sign like that if they had access.
Tax assessor employees regularly trespass to look for land improvements. I wonder if they would pause and think twice if they saw a sign like that?
