Not a big fan of shredders, but a good song with some good playing.
Here's one from nearer your neck of the woods:
It's takes a little listen but you get:
Radiators> Michael Jackson> Elvis Costello wrapped up tight.
Later
I know the rads, I use to get mistaken for Dave Malone about 25 yrs ago.
Frankie the drummer has a breakfast joint neàr me.
Rads are derivative of the Meters, Professor longhair, Earl King ....
Dave's younger brother Tommy is a VG guitarist. His group was the subdudes.
Eric Clapton liked his playing. EC sent/paid for him to go to the rehab place that he went to Tommy needed it.
What impressed me about the Bulgarian was the thought of the american culture thàt is exported to other places and picked up by the young musicians.
I only know a shred of Louisiana's musical heritage, but have enjoyed most of the folks you've mentioned and will check out the ones I haven't heard.
On the export> import, isn't that what brought the first British Invasion back when John Mayall and the like brought electric blues back to u.s.? The internet has taken that beyond all previous known levels.
I thought this was pretty wild (a buddy sent it my way last summer): Unique Voodoo Chile.
As with the Purple Rain you linked, I'm equally amazed by the backing track. Seems like a recorded version by the same person demonstrating their lead skills in the videos.
Back to the surveying. Have a good one,
:gammon:
