and see the ad behind home plate- For Season Tickets Call 212-Yankees.
So I did.
When the guy answered, I asked "Is this the Big Apple?" He said " Of course, this is New York City!"
All I could say was, "How do you like them apples?"
We lol'd at the same time.
Good Thing the Conversation.......
.......didn't go too much further.
Those Yankees aren't' shy about the ticket prices. It cost $40 just to park for the playoffs!

Love it.
Geez, Cliff Lee makes the Yankees look like a bunch of Muppets at the plate.
Great performance. He had the hitters on a string all night.
After he was zinging them with his fast ball in the 8th, I went to bed.
I don't know why Girardi is using a minor league all star as DH when he has a ML sll star on the bench in Berkman.
an orthodox Yankee fan,

Good one Roadhand! ROTFLMAO.

$40 JUST to park??!! What a rip off!! :-O
That game...WOW!! :hi5:
For the regular season........
.....it's "only" $23.

"Only"... sheesh. How can anyone afford to live there??!! :-O
For the regular season........
We don't even want to go to the seat prices. (If you try to get a ticket for tonight's game, lowest price found was over $500, and the AVERAGE price is around $1,000).
Suffice it to say that seats in the areas behind the dugouts were going for $2600 when the new Stadium opened. But the Yankees were carried away by their success....a new stadium, best TV contracts, highest salaries, etc., etc.
A few games into the season it became embarrassing to see how many of the seats were empty (even in the World Series, empty seats could be seen and the local TV camera crews were told to change the angles so they wouldn't appear on TV), so the Yankees cut the prices by about 50%.
The same thing happened with the Giants and the Jets: We have what are called PSL's "personal seat licenses". A fan has to BUY the right to buy his seats......in effect, paying twice for each seat. All of a sudden, the legendary waiting list for Giants tickets has disappeared, and the Jets have many unsold seats. PSL holders can re-sell the seats for individual games.
Just so you know it's not a NY phenomenon, 13 other NFL teams, 5 baseball teams, 3 NBA teams, 2 NHL teams and 3 NASCAR tracks have instituted PSL's.
I'm guessing the next time I see a Yankee home game will be when someone sends me a gift ticket. I saw them in Toronto for about $75.00 in good seats last June....

Simple, they're all [msg=25834]overpaid government employees.[/msg]
For the regular season........
They love their baseball.
But then they can't afford their rent!!!
You Know........
.........I thought I saw a bunch of old NYC pensioners in that stadium crowd last night.......;-)
For the regular season........
Well I hope my beloved St. Louis Cardinals aren't like that!! Cause my dream since I have been 9 years old was to go see a home game. But if it is going to be $75 for a nosebleed seat, forget it!! :-O
For the regular season........
By comparison - parking at Angel Stadium $8. You can park across the street and hike about 1/4 mile over flat ground for $5 or free depending on where you go.
For the regular season........
WHAT!>>!>!?!?!? you never been to a Cardinal Game in St. Louis? how can that be? You need to do this ASAP, young lady.

Tell me about it. 🙁 It's been my childhood dream since I was 9 years old!!! I've been to many games where they were at another stadium but NEVER one at Busch. *sniffles*
Even Wendell said he'd go with me to St. Louis which is amazing because he isn't a baseball person. Hopefully next summer!!! It was suppose to be my gift to myself for turning 40. 😉
So...
Anyone watch tonights game??? 🙂
The Crankies LOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :good:  :hi5:
