I bet you none of those women were big enough women's libbers that they used a hyphenated last name after they got married.

My ex's last name would not fit on a standard #10 envelope if that were the case. I was #1, now she's on 4 or 5. Can't keep them straight.
For laughs with my grown up kids, I always referred to them as my step-husbands. Or ex step-husbands as seems more fitting. They laugh with a classic kid like "....dad....", so I laugh back.
