Probably larger but the same make and caliber so that the magazines would be interchangeable.

Alan, maybe if you tried using some magazines in it instead of clips it would function properly? JK JK 😀

She's 101 this year and feeds everything fine with Wilson Mags. She is a hand biter if you don't know her ways or get in a hurry and forget to hold the way she likes. Simple "fix/update" but I haven't got the heart to change her.

I just bought a new 1911 (Springfield Armory Loaded .45 acp) a few weeks ago. Throw away the magazines that come with the pistol and buy yourself some Wilson Combat, Chip McCormick or other quality magazines. I went with CM because that is what my LGS stocks and they have been great. Also, with any 1911, you'll need a 200-400 round break in period and Kimbers I think require a 500 round break in. Don't even think about carrying it for protection until after you've put at least that many rounds through it. That also gives you time and rounds to see what kind of ammo your particular gun likes to eat.

I have never shot or even handled a Boberg but from what I've heard, they are quality (and expensive) pistols. Hickok45 did a review on the XR9 awhile back. I didn't know they had released a version in .45 acp. Nice.
