Many great points here. It doesnƒ??t always work but I am one who likes to figure out what triggers said behavior. I have been that person myself. Before I try and fix or get rid of negative Nancy I take a hard look in the mirror and try and find that plank in my eye. I start with me first. Then I try an watch for the circumstances that triggers this personality type if they can do the work and are good at what they do and show potential. I am one who cannot stand the last minute ideas that some say are planning and only have 1 small idea of the scope of a project. Then come back and say why didnƒ??t you do this or that we are blowing the budget. ?ÿI ask way more questions than most managers would like but if i know the full scope I usually donƒ??t fail and get grumpy. Some people are not salvageable in certain situations. Might be as simple as personalities donƒ??t mix. Two people that apart are smooth and efficient but together like throwing gas on a fire. I had to fire a person once it still weighs on my mind. Great i mean smart had it all. But his personality and his manager just did not mix. I mean it was rough. Me and a partner discussed and i had to recommend which one had to go. Not fun but necessary. ?ÿSometimes you just have to cut bait. Sometimes when your hung up you break the line. Sometimes that bobber floats right back to the top. Sometimes it is never seen again. Mine floated to the top. We still stay in contact no hard feelings but I knew he would rise to the top. Good luck. Donƒ??t let it get personal if you have to go that route just business. But be prepared for the backlash. ?ÿ
