Gotcha! Bet ya thought I was gonna drop off the deep end.

I don't need to discuss anyone else's politics, our State Legislature and Governor are in process on so many insane things right now it is unbelievable. Sincerely hope the remaining 49 aren't being exposed to similar antics.

God bless us all. (Your God, if you have one, otherwise......never mind.)

Well, I'll be darned. I figured "politics" wouldn't be acceptable to the censor just like any word that starts with an s followed by an h and a specific vowel plus the letter t whether or not there are additional letters following the t. Discovered that when posting the thread about how to say I love you in different language.

Hope this thread is OK.

Wehhlll, we can turn it into humor

I did not write this....

I was eating breakfast with my 10-year-old Granddaughter and asked her,
What day is tomorrow?" Without skipping a beat she said, "It's Presidents
Day!"

She's smart, so I asked her "What does Presidents Day mean?" I was waiting
for something about Obama, Bush, or Clinton, etc.

She replied, "Presidents Day is when the President steps out of the White
House, and if he sees his shadow, we have another year of BS."

You know, it hurts when hot coffee spurts out your nose.

Well, not in CA, but there is some concern for the rest.
John Stewart has a thing going about "brownbacking" as well as "forget that the state economy is collapsing, there' s a gay squirrel over there!"

Now THAT was probably way too political, but it just feels good to get off your chest every once in a while:-)

I love Will Rogers quotes. He was a political humorist that didn't ever seem to get personal or hateful to any particular president or politician. In my opinion the reason it is banned at this site and considered a touchy subject is because so many get personal about it. following are a number of Will Rogers' quotes. I hope this isn't out of line.

"Everything is changing. People are taking their comedians seriously, and the politicians as a joke, when it used to be vice versa."

"It's getting so if a man wants to stand well socially, he can't afford to be seen with either the Democrats or the Republicans."

"A politician is just like a pickpocket; it's almost impossible to get one to reform."

"There is something about a Republican that you can only stand him just so long; and on the other hand, there is something about a Democrat that you can't stand him quite that long."

"There's no trick to being a humorist when you have the entire government working for you."

"There is only one redeeming thing about this whole election. It will be over at sundown, and let everybody pray that it's not a tie, for we couldn't go through with this thing again.”

"If you ever injected truth into politics you have no politics"

"Politics has got so expensive that it takes lots of money to even get beat with nowadays."

"I would love to see Mr. (Henry) Ford in there, really. I don't know who started the idea that a President must be a Politician instead of a Business man. A Politician can't run any other kind of business. So there is no reason why he can run the U.S. That's the biggest single business in the World."

"When you straddle a thing it takes a long time to explain it."

"America has the best politicians money can buy."

"Congress is so strange; a man gets up to speak and says nothing, nobody listens, and then everybody disagrees."

"We all joke about Congress but we can't improve on them. Have you noticed that no matter who we elect, he is just as bad as the one he replaces?"

"I read where they are going to limit debate in the Senate. It used to be that a man could talk all day, but now, as soon as he tells all he knows, he has to sit down. Most of these birds will just be getting up and nodding now. Why, some of them won't be able to answer roll call."

"We cuss Congress, and we joke about 'em, but they are all good fellows at heart, and if they wasn't in Congress, why, they would be doing something else against us that might be even worse."

"The Senate just sits and waits till they find out what the president wants, so they know how to vote against him."

"Senators are a never-ending source of amusement, amazement, and discouragement."

"Our president delivered his State of the Union message to Congress. That is one of the things his contract calls for -- to tell congress the condition of the country. This message, as I say, is to Congress. The rest of the people know the condition of the country, for they live in it, but Congress has no idea what is going on in America, so the president has to tell 'em."

"A president just can't make much showing against congress. They lay awake nights, thinking up things to be against the president on."

Yes. I guess the same thing is happening here. Republican wunderkind governor who was going to cut taxes and government operating costs but that is leading to deficits being directed to education & health and mental health care cutbacks.increases in fees for the former and neglect of the latter.
Our Wiz Kid governor became a national cash cow for his party and he also thinks that he has presidential qualities to pursue a run for the office. God help us. (I thought I throw some religion on too 😉
The amount of money that the Kansas Kochs recently spent in LA electing candidates here could have easily remedied any problems in KS or alleviated the middle class tax burden.

I'm ready for my sentence now from Wendell. I plead guilty but seek his mercy.
