Once upon a time on the internet, in a discussion forum far, far away, I posted this link to a free online personality test that is a quickie approximation of the Myers-Briggs Type Test. A variety of readers took the test and posted their results, which were interesting because they tended to show them to be types that are not that common in the general population. I mean, surveyors an odd lot compared to ordinary people? Who would have thought it?
If anyone is ready for a resampling of the internet population of surveyors, take the test again (it's about 2 or 3 minutes worth) and post your results (preferably via cut-n-paste of what the test reports.
The sampling was interesting the first time around because it tended to explain things like Scott Z's management problems.

I took it again to see if I would get the same results. I thought I had answered every question the same as before. Apparently, I came close, but, not exact.

OH, MY GOSH!!!!
I'm supposed to be similar to the following famous people. I really, really disagree.
Napoleon, Franklin D. Roosevelt , Mark Anthony, Sean Connery, Madonna, Yulia Tymoshenko
I am not a tiny tyrant like Napoleon. I am nothing like Mark Anthony or Madonna. I have no idea who Tymoshenko is. The only resemblence to Roosevelt and Connery is I'm not as young as I once was.

INTJ Like a 2-3 minute test can really peg a person to a certain type. My attitude towards categorization of people is probably just a symptom of my own personality, though, I'll admit that. Oh yeah, I was 56-12-25-44. OK, the low thinking score might be right, but I'm not really that introverted, I'm pretty intuitive and not that judgmental, if that's what that means. Honk, next test please.
Steve... Just for you.
>.... Honk, next test please.
Are your loved ones plotting to eat you?
This is not so much of a test as a series of observations...
I hope you saw this as funny, Steve.

I'm holding back to leave plenty of room for everyone to post their results. There are a variety of types engaged in surveying, but there are some recurring themes.

Yes, but I'll bet your wife scores as an ENFJ type.

I'm thinking (or perhaps 'feeling') that is a very similar score to the one I posted on the old site.

Scott, for some reason I had the idea that you had scored differently when you took the test a couple of years ago. I remember your type as _NF_ as you now report, but scoring as an extrovert, ENF_. I suppose that we could look that up, couldn't we?
In any event the intuitive-feeling dimension is the operative one. It is surely what makes you a natural teacher and facilitator. The _NF_ type is not overly represented in the the population of internet surveyors.
