A few years ago I was in a car that was hit by a boat being pulled by a truck that was backing up to avoid a train. In my panic at being unable to move out of the way (cars right behind me) I failed to look up to see if there was a plane overhead.

I wonder what goes through the minds of the folks that compile these and fwd them to everyone they know? Why? Is it because fiction is more interesting than truth or are the authors unaware of the false ones.
I wonder if there are some college kids that dreamt up a mix of true and untrue ones and just want to see how quickly some myths can be propogated around "the internets". Probably such kids will have a future on cable "news".
