Mentioned on this page is Hope Consulting Inc.

I went to their page, and on the "About Us" page, Jonathan Hope is the President. (Is he now a PLS?) If he is, why does it not say that he is?

They appear to have EVERYTHING for staff, EXCEPT a surveyor.

Under Services, they offer all kinds of surveys.

My question is this: WHO is stamping their work, and are they in responsible charge?

Also, under SUPPORT, they have a link to Minnimum Standards, for Arkansas.

It seems odd to have a company, advertising all these services, on a page for land surveyors, with apparently no surveyor on staff. At least, none are mentioned, on their advertisement. Along, with a link to min stds for Arkansas!

Anybody know what is going on?

Thanks!

Nate

you are supposed to include your license numbers in your advertising. It is routine for people listed on the website to have their license numbers and type listed with their name.

I haven't seen their ad on here, maybe because I'm not in Arkansas.

I wonder if the Hope Company hired a replacement for Bill Sr.? Surely they are not just reissuing 40 years of old survey plats.

I know that, at one time, Bill Sr.'s seal was in their AutoCad title block.

I will call on Monday morning.

David, I am of the understanding that advertising in Arkansas, is supposed to contain the LS # as well. Thus, the question.

Nate,
When did they change the law about advertising Surveying in Arkansas? I was under the impression that you could not advertise Surveying services without being a licensed surveyor in Arkansas or having a PS on staff...NOT that the advertisement had to contain a PS number.

Look in the phone book...do you see a PS number for Garver, McCelland, Crafton-Tull, etc etc etc?

Dan, I think I misspoke.... I meant they had to name the PLS... and always used my number with it. Cause it is how dad did it, and how Sim Pintado did it, along with several others.

Nate,
Mr. Hurley Clinton, PS1179 is Hope Consulting's current Professional Surveyor.

I still think that most of the larger firms do not list (advertise) the names of their staff.

Not surprising that the situation has been properly handled. Most of the reputable firms would have another surveyor on staff before the older founding people are unable to properly perform their duties. Such actions are what make them reputable.
