One of our engineers showed me this today from a 1968 set. the "FU" was our Technicians handy work. He insisted it meant Florida University. The hand was used in several other places througout the plans to point out special notes, but this one was extra special... I've wanted to do this sooooo many times. Not very professional I guess, but man what fun. LOL

We had a draftsman

Back in the days of hand drafting we had a draftsman that made his north arrows his "signature". Every one was different but they were all a little "quirky". He prepared one "preliminary" drawing with the north arrow as a hand with the middle finger extended, knowing that he was going to change it before the final went out the door. WRONG. It got out the door before it was changed. Luckily the client had a sense of humor, but that was the last time a drawing went out without a check of the north arrow.

the best part of this one is it was definately intentional. To summarize the note: the owner and engineer wouldnt do what I told them we needed to do, so when this structur subsides, it will be on them to take care of the situation.

Just made me laugh that note was very carefully worded and appropriate, but pointed out with the bird. lol.
