As you can see, my "self portrait";-) is pixelated because it is a large file. I tried to downsize it with Photoshop but I'm not real good with PS and can't figure out how to get it to 120x120.
Is there an easy way to shrink my "self portrait" down and it still have decent detail?
Rob
I use a freeware program called "Irfanview" to do many tasks like the one you need. For reducing the file size, it has a "save as" function to allow you save a file of smaller size.
It also has MANY editing features, etc.
I've been using it for years without any bugs or problems. Millions of people have downloaded it over the years, so it has good history.
Gee Rob, that looks like a Puggel with a face full of black flies. 🙂
You can right click on the file, "open with" ms paint, then select resize and choose "pixels", and "keep aspect ratio".
I believe Wendell has an automatic shrinker installed on the board. Did mine without resizing first.
With Photoshop, resizing is real easy. In my version under IMAGE, select RESIZE and there are a number of options there. One is to change the pixel heighth or width to whatever you want. Select the larger of the 2 and change it to 120. The other will change proportionaltely.
That should do it.

Merlin, how dare you associate a beagle with a purebred pug.;-) He's a full blooded dopey 27lbs:-O, nothing but love, sweetheart.
We have a black pug and wanted another so we rescued him when he was 19 months old, but little did we know that she absolutely would not tolerate him and even gave him bloody noses and eyes. Fortunately, my wife's folks took him so he is still in the family. This was 7 years ago and he is a gem.

Dave, after a bit of trial and error, I got it to work through your instructions and now there are no more flies on my face. Thanks. My wife is the Photoshop guru.
