Yes, I upgraded to the FC2500 from the FC2000. I like it, but my biggest complaint about it is the new stylus and the way it is held in the box. It is difficult to get in and out of the holder. The stylus set up on the FC2000 was perfect...which is why they had to change it I supposoe. 🙂 Another oddity about the FC2500 is that it has a camera built into it. From what I can see this camera is absolutely useless for any practical purposes. When the DC is in the cradle on the rod, the camera is pointing at the ground in front of the rod (unless you like your DC sreen facing straight up). I'm sure someone has a use for it, just not me. The data collector itself is first rate from what I have seen so far.

I have replyed in your previous post. I also agree with BobM about the stylus setup being poor, and the camera is basically useless. The camera takes poor quality photos (even though it is 5 megapixels), and the flash does not work properly causing the pictures to come out very dark. Retrieving the pictures from the Data Collector can be difficult too because they are not always in the same location file wise.

I have had one for about a year and a half running topsur on it, I agree with the other guys about the camera, its just a waste, I think there are ways to make it work better but I have not had the time to try to figure things out...I dont mind the stylus thing, of couse I lost one the other day so it doesn't stay in there too good. Seems to work good overall, acts kind of weird sometimes with my 802AR but that might be more on the robots fault...works flawlessly with Hipers.

I have more p..offs with topsur than with the FC2500, its a decent program but there are a few little things that make it less productive...used Survey Pro before that on a Ranger.
