You can get an electric "wood" stove. Cheap, looks good and no firewood.

Maple (hard & soft), White Birch, Yellow Birch, Oak (mostly Red), Ash, Cherry, some Hop Hornbeam and some Locust
I burn White Pine, Spruce and Balsam Fir in the Evaporator for making Maple Syrup.
Here's about 15 cords of sugaring wood ready to go....

Mostly douglas fir... quite a bit of alder... some oak.
