Dan,

Did you ever get the problem with your 89 Ford pickup fixed?

I got the problem with my 1990 F-150 fixed. It turned out that there was a faulty part. When I replaced the faulty part (a 1990 F-150) with an aftermarket part (a 2008 Toyota Tundra), the problem went away.

No, not yet. The weather has cooled down a bit and it has not been doing it anymore. Hopefully, I won't have to worry about it again until next summer.

I replaced a 1992 F150 with a 2007 Tundra. My F150 was still going but it was going to cost more than the truck was worth to replace all the parts that needed replacing. 4 years later I still love my Tundra.
