MY BOYS WON!!!!! :hi5:  :good: :star:
On August 24th, the Cardinals were 10.5 games back in the Wild Card.
On October 16th, they earned a spot in the World Series.
Bring on Texas!!!
Look for a contest on this...we just need to put it together... 😀
Angel,
They played hard to get there. I'm proud of them. I'm not a huge baseball fan anymore, but we have the Memphis Redbirds here, a farm team for the St. Louis Cardinals. They seem to be a class act.
I have been to AutoZone Park to see them a few times, and even had the opportunity to do some surveying inside the stadium last year when a new doppler radar system was installed to track ball movement. It is pretty amazing what that system does.
CARDINALS WIN!!!!!!!!

Now that is something I'd like to see...their farm team play. Those are always fun games to go too and watch! 🙂
I am VERY proud of my team!! Have been since I was a little girl way back in 1980. 😉
Your Cards did good.
Looking foward to a very good World Series.
Well.....there go the big bucks
Any MAJOR sporting conclusive event that does not include East Coast and West Coast teams is a bigtime loser for the networks and advertisers. Very sad, but true.
I was hoping to see the Tigers go all the way!!!...Detroit could sure use something to smile about...Go CARDS!
Cograts, But How Long Did That Game Take
Last I noticed was 9-4 at beddy bye time.
I am surprised my brother didn't call and wake me up.

The Boyer Brothers in 1964
I remember the 1964 World Series like it was yesterday. The Yankees and the Cardinals each had a Boyer brother playing third base. I remember the TV crew interviewing their parents and trying to get them to pick the winning team. Ken and Clete had a brother Cloyd who also played in the big leagues. Three other brothers played in the minor leagues.
The Yankees faced the St. Louis Cardinals in the World Series with Clete playing against his brother Ken. The Yankees lost in seven games, but not before Ken and Clete became the first brothers to hit home runs on opposing teams in a World Series game.[2] In the 7th inning of that seventh game, Ken homered off Yankee pitcher Steve Hamilton and exchanged nods with Clete. Clete returned the favor in the 9th after homering off Cardinal ace Bob Gibson.

That sounds awesome! From this post I derive that you are maybe 20 yrs older than I thought originally.
Please explain
20 years older than dirt.......:-P
> They done good! Got mixed feelings but considering how far they came, gotta admire that. Hopin for series just as (or more) exciting as the playoffs.
Me too!!! I'll buy the boxed set, regardless. I happily own the 2006 set! What's funny is they eliminated the games that the Cards lost! hehehe 😉
