?ÿWhile attending a "marriage weekend" in Breaux Bridge, Boudreaux and his wife, Marie, listened to the Preacher explain?ÿ "It is essential that husbands and wives know the things that are important to each other."
Then he addressed the men: "1. Can you tell me the color of your wife's eyes and 2. can you name and describe your wife's favorite flower?"
Boudreaux leaned over, touched Marie's arm very gently and whispered just a bit too loud?ÿ "Mais, cher?? dis is easy,?ÿ ?ÿ1. Brown and 2. Gold Medal All Purpose, isn't it?"

Sorry to sidetrack @Lamon Miller but do you know the history of this structure. It's in your backyard. Near the Myette Point boat launch between the old and new levee. I'm thinking it was a wpa project in the depression. A vertical weir that had cypress flood gates. Control water from the bayou to the Atchafalaya.?ÿ
Other have said it was a syrup mill , irrigation cut.

Andy retirement is good, fishing at least once a week.?ÿ In fact I just got back for a two day trip.?ÿ?ÿ
Alvin:The Myette Point boat launch is a mile from my house.?ÿ My firm designed the launch so if you like it let me know if you didn't keep quite.?ÿ ?ÿI don't recognize the pictures but will ask around.?ÿ I don't understand "between the old and new levee".?ÿ
