Incredibly, our grade school music teacher had come up with the lyrics and sheet music to that song.?ÿ We sang the first verse and chorus, I think.?ÿ There was no attempt to do the whistling part.?ÿ We were pretty young in those days.?ÿ Some of us didn't have a mouth full of teeth.?ÿ Opie, that is Ron Howard, is six months younger than me so my classmates could relate a great deal to his problems and adventures.
